True Colors Theatre Company’s Next Narrative Monologue Competition
Long Wharf Theatre, in collaboration with Yale Repertory Theatre, is proud to present True Colors’ Next Narrative Monologue Competition in New Haven, CT.
The Stage Squad is a young adult council comprised of dynamic high school students from across Connecticut. Participants learn about the process of creating theatre by engaging in the art form through workshops, trainings with staff, and field trips to experience thought-provoking productions. The Stage Squad cultivates engaged community leaders committed to building a boundary-breaking future for audiences and artists alike.
We partner with schools all over Connecticut to integrate theatre into core academic subjects by working directly with teachers to develop a curriculum that is specific to the needs of individual classrooms.
Student Theatre Series
Our Student Theatre Series hosts free matinees dedicated to student audiences that include supplemental, show-specific materials, pre-show workshops, and preparatory tips for first-time theatregoers. The Student Theatre Series connects themes from productions with in-classroom curricula for middle and high school students to deepen their understanding of each play and its relevance to our modern world.
