What Time Do Performances Start?
Performances start promptly at the times listed. Please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes early. Late seating is not always available. Start times for special events may vary.
Tuesdays: 7 PM
Wednesdays: 2 PM & 7 PM
Thursdays: 7 PM
Fridays: 8 PM
Saturdays: 2 PM & 8 PM
Sundays: 2 PM
*Opening nights: 7:30 PM
How Will I Know If A Show Is Cancelled?
All show cancellations will be communicated through email, on our website’s homepage, and on all our social media platforms. All tickets are non-refundable, but our box office will contact you to choose an alternative date if a show is canceled. If for any reason (e.g. inclement weather) you are unable to attend, but the show goes on as scheduled, please contact the box office to see if a ticket exchange is possible. Fees may apply for any exchange request.
Will I Be Seated Once A Show Has Begun?
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management. Late seating may not be available for all shows. To avoid any issues, please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the expected start of the show.
Are Children Admitted?
Children under the age of seven are not admitted unless otherwise posted. We do not post age suggestions or ratings for productions, but some shows may not be appropriate for all ages. If you would like to bring someone under 18, but would like more information on a show’s content please contact our box office.
Can I Volunteer To Usher?
Volunteer ushers assist patrons during all performances in the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre. To volunteer, contact Carolyn Stockage to submit your availability.
Tickets
Are Ticket Sales Final?
All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and fees may apply for exchanges.
Do You Have Student Tickets?*
Students can purchase tickets for $10. A valid student ID will be requested and required to gain admission to the theatre with a student ticket.
Do You Have Group Ticket Rates?*
Groups of 10 or more can secure seats for $35 per ticket. Please visit our Group Sales page for additional information.
*Please mention all discounts at time of purchase. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively. Discounts may not be valid on special events.
Does Long Wharf Donate Tickets?
Each year we are delighted to donate tickets to qualifying causes and nonprofit organizations. Our priority is to support the efforts of arts and community organizations in Greater New Haven. Please contact our box office to submit a request.
Theatre Etiquette
Cell Phones And Electronic Devices
Please turn off cell phones and all electronic devices while inside the theatre. Please also refrain from talking during the performance. Noise can be distracting to the performers and your neighboring audience members during the show.
Photography
Taking photographs or recordings of any kind before, during, or after the performance without written permission from Long Wharf Theatre is strictly prohibited.
Smoking And Vaping
Smoking & vaping are prohibited everywhere in the theatre.
