Jessica Durdock Moreno

Jessica Durdock Moreno joined Long Wharf Theatre in 2022. She was appointed Artistic Director of the Sherman Playhouse; a century’s old community theater in Connecticut in 2023, and founded Pale Horse Craft, a Neurodiversity centered theater company in 2019. She has produced her plays with the Chain Theatre and at the Hollywood Fringe (won: Encore! Producers Award; nominated: Inkwell Theater Playwright’s Promise Award). Her plays have been presented by Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Full Circle Theatre Collaborative, and TEDx Asbury Park. She has developed her plays with the Road Theatre, Echo Theater Company, and the Workshop Theater. She was a Theater Masters Take Ten 2020 finalist, an Athena Project 2020 Plays in Progress Series semifinalist, and a 2023 Dramatists Guild Foundation National Fellowship semifinalist. She published plays with Smith and Kraus, some scripts literary magazine, and Fleas on the Dog. In 2023, Jessica served as the Neurodiversity Consultant on New York City Center’s Encores! production of The Light in the Piazza directed by Chay Yew, and she is currently researching inclusive feedback and dramaturgical processes for Neurodivergent theatermakers in Liz Lerman and John Borstel’s Critical Response Process certification program.
